Change Your Pattern; LOVE Yourself!

One of the greatest, if not the greatest, conscious determinants of your health is your attitude toward yourself. Outward displays of bravado, confidence, egocentricity, or self-assurance frequently mask inward convictions of self-inadequacy, ineptness, stupidity, victimhood, unattractiveness, or even self-disgust. No matter how convincing an outward show of favorable self-esteem one might put on, if the inner conviction is that of self-doubt or disdain, the body responds defensively – it defends against a multitude of perceived threats and negativity.

Self-esteem is the product of accumulated thoughts and beliefs, and the responses of good self-esteem or poor self-esteem induced in the body are the products of feelings. Lives there a person whose life has been so pristine and perfect that he or she has not committed a minor social or business gaff, or been ridiculed by a boss, parent, or other “significant other”? Minor indiscretions or public ridicule generate feelings of embarrassment, shame, or humiliation to the very core of the sufferer’s being. These feelings are often relived when the incident is recalled. It is feelings that produce physiological responses of blushing, sweating, nervous activity, and defense, and the pattern of the response to the feelings (defense) is embedded in memory along with the memory of the event itself. Then, when the incident is recalled, or when another incident occurs to bring about similar feelings, the pattern of response that has already been established sets in motion the same physiological activity. So, memory recalls more than just pictures; memory actually colors your self-esteem.

These accrued feelings about yourself dictate your level of self-esteem. If you feel good about yourself, your body is allowed to function normally and naturally without defending itself; your self-esteem and your health flourish. There are no inappropriate patterns running in this system, no interference. If you dislike yourself or run yourself down, for whatever reason, your body is continually defensive, functions in a survival mode, and ultimately your health and overall self-esteem suffer. There is an inappropriate pattern running that causes your body to work overtime to defend against this threat.

And, of course, B.E.S.T. procedures help you address these inappropriate patterns at each level, from the Morter March to the advanced levels of the technique. Get started by learning how to do the Morter March immediately, for free, at www.mortermarchmonday.com, and then join us each Monday morning at 9:00 am CDT LIVE on Facebook for Morter March Monday!
