Here we are in one of the most affluent and technologically advanced countries on earth, yet many of us can tick off a lengthy list of personal ills. From the irritation of allergies to the serious conditions of diabetes, heart disease, and cancer, having a “condition” has become a national pastime.
So, why are we so sick if we are so rich and smart? We get “sick” when we push our bodies’ survival skills to extremes just to handle the consequences of our choices and actions. You’re not sick because you have diabetes or whatever. You have diabetes or whatever because you’re sick. Pain and disease appear to be the body doing something wrong. But they’re not. Pain and disease are results of the body surviving to the point of exhaustion. Energy that should be used to accomplish your daily activities is being used to keep your body alive. Survival is more important than accomplishment.
Disease doesn’t strike; disease develops. It develops as the body continuously adapts to survive particular threatening conditions. For example, there is excess acid from high-protein foods. Two things happen if the body must constantly adapt to handle this excess acid. One, the availability of alkalizing minerals from the alkaline reserve is greatly reduced, and two, backup systems designed for emergency service must only work in high gear constantly. The result of these things happening is that neutralizing minerals must be scavenged from other sources, such as the bones, and internal organs and systems are pushed beyond their capacity and eventually become exhausted.
When you constantly make choices that keep one area on red alert, that area gets tired. The process generally goes on for so long that you don’t associate the cause with the effect. The cause is the choices you make that your body must survive. The effect is what you interpret as disease. Without the survival processes that lead to the effects you interpret as disease, you wouldn’t be around long enough to get sick. And, understanding how to make health-enhancing choices in the 6 Essentials for Life (what you eat and drink, how you exercise and rest, what and how you breathe, and what you think) instead of disease-producing ones is what we teach as part of the Morter HealthSystem.
Here is an easy first step to ensure you are getting the correct amount of alkalizing minerals every day: Take 15 Alka•Green® Tablets and a dropper of Morter Trace Minerals every day for 30 days, and notice the difference in your energy, attitude, and mental clarity. Give it a try, and let us know how you feel!
